Brown Sugar and Maple Bacon Wrapped Dates
Equipment
- Baking Sheet
- small dish
- Foil
Ingredients
- 12 oz thick sliced bacon 340g
- 8 –20 dates same number as bacon slices
- 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- Maple syrup for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400ºF / 200ºC degrees.
- Line a baking sheet with foil.
- Take the dates and wrap a slice of the bacon around each date.
- Lay onto the foil.
- Once all the dates and bacon are wrapped and laid on the foil, sprinkle them all with the brown sugar then drizzle with maple syrup.
- Bake in the oven for 15–20 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the sugar and syrup have caramelized.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes until not too hot to pick up then serve.
